Alpha male crime lords. Badass heroines. Steam and smut. All of it brought together by danger and suspense.
You can’t tell me mafia romances aren’t to swoon over.
In this handpicked selection, I present you with eight must-read and best Mafia Romance novels and series (at least, in my opinion) that will transport you into the mesmerizing realm of forbidden love, where powerful mafiosos clash with spirited heroines in stories brimming with tension, desire, and the allure of the underworld.
Let’s dive right in.
These 5 books got me out of my reading slump. I hadn’t picked up a book in months but the second I dove into Morana and Tristan’s colliding worlds, I was a goner. For them and for the next 3 couples as well. These books are like a drug I keep coming back to. Every emotion, every story, every plot has been so beautifully written. Raw. Gritty. Sexy as hell. Hence, the reason why it is first on my list.
I first read this book when it came out on Wattpad. We often judge Wattpad to be full of cringe, corny stories with smut and no plotline, but it really has some great hidden gems. This was such an amazing book, and not just because Alessio was a fucking hottie, but because his and Ayla’s story was beautiful. The writing was so deep that I could feel every raw emotion of both.
If you like books that give you authentic mafia vibes from its story setting, its characters, and its plot, this is the one for you. I was in love with Nico but I was OBSESSED with Christian Allister.
Reason one for reading this duet is Rai Sokolov, who is determined to make her way in a man’s world. Reason two, and more important one for reading this book is Kyle Hunter, because holy fuck is he hot. Beware, this book does have accidental pregnancy, which might be a turn-off for a few.
When you are busy swooning over a couple that is as obsessed with each other as Darla Hill and Zeno De La Croix, then you conveniently ignore the plot twist you saw coming from the very beginning. But the romance and steam in this book is to die for. Shout out to my cousin Kulsoom for recommending this book to me. Do check out her Instagram. She does some great bookish content.
I originally read this book because of Callum Griffin, the Irish mafia boss, but the way I fell in love with Aida, LORD. She fucking carried the book. Two moments that stood out for me - One, the two MCs absolutely hating each other before their arranged marriage leading to Aida having strawberries before their first kiss because Callum was allergic. And two, Aida coming back to save Callum from the thugs after setting herself free. I ate that shit up.
Hope these were helpful enough for you to delve into the dark and sexy world of mafia kings and queens.
